Heather is an effective communicator and understands that there are a variety of ways to help children as well as adults who learn differently. While she was a caseworker at Community in Schools, I had the privilege to sit in on some of her lessons with her classes. She fully engaged each child and used different tools / techniques to help them reach their potential. I was also able to see her strengths shine through while attending the young adult group at MDPC where she acted as the director. Heather was fully prepared with each lesson and made it a point to connect in some way to everyone in the room. She does have a unique way while engaging and connecting with others. It's a good feeling to know I had an approachable, trustworthy, and confidential director. She was looking out for me in the most positive way. She would do what she could to help anyone in need and make sure they came out feeling stronger and more confident. After my coaching session with Heather, I realized I can have an ally who can help me reach my goals.
